Lifelong friends Chris Guillaume and Neil Walters founded My Painted Smile in a small, middle-England town, together with frontman, Jules Fanthom. The band was always more of a collaborative rather than specific set of musicians. Their music covers a wide range of genres reflecting the musical influences of each member. From Pop to Punk and everything in between, the band are happy mixing styles in their pursuit of originality. After working in other bands, My Painted Smile (MPS) came back together, adding Richard Payne, Ben Wood and Chris “Rodders” Shelton, re-mixing with Leo “Basedriver” Paine, diversifying their sound even further by venturing into D&B. Although many years have past since the band first got together, their recent material is a strong blend of catchy choruses, diverse styles and experienced musicianship.
